and He shall give you the desires of your heart...

Mark 11:23-26 says:
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

When I read this verse I was amazed. When we have faith we *can* move mountains! If I desire something and my heart is right with the Lord then He will give it to me as long as I believe...He loves us and as our Heavenly Father He does not wish to withhold anything! Faith is something I believe we all struggle with, when we have our heart set on something but that something does not happen right away, it is hard to keep on believing it will happen. What if it doesn't happen? What if it isn't God's will? Why aren't I getting an answer? I have found that when I don't get a definite answer about something it is because a) it isn't God's time yet b) He is still working on it c) He doesn't want us to know yet, or d) His answer is no. If it isn't His will then I believe that [as the verse says "He will give us the desires of our heart" (You know, it is mentioned too much in the Bible to not be true, besides God always keeps His word)] if something we desire isn't in God's will then He will change that desire to fit His will. This in itself is an answer to prayer. I pray that if something you are desiring isn't coming to pass and you aren't getting a clear answer then you will be assured that His will is perfect and that all will come to pass in time for He is in control! Keep faith!!

Thanksgiving Blessings...

Thanksgiving blessings...

When one hears that phrase one immediately thinks of the family and such, or of the pilgrims or..however, we rarely think of the hardships that those who came before us had to suffer through. We are thankful the TV is working so we can watch football or that everyone is well but do we stop to think about what came before us? After leaving the tyranny of England, the pilgrims then had to face the harshness of the American frontier. Half of them were dead before winter's end. *They* had things to be thankful for, so they celebrated and feasted with new found friends. But what they also did was give thanks to God for what He had given them. Isn't that amazing? After losing so many friends and family and having suffered through illness they still thanked Him and praised Him. Their morals and faith were *that* strong in that time. It saddens me to think of how selfish and un-American we have become in recent years. Oh, to have faith like that in this Nation again! We are losing our inalienable rights which our forefathers died for! We no longer have privacy or freedoms we used to have. For example: When one flies, we now have to be pat down or x-rayed. No choice in the matter, and it is impossible to drive through an ocean so one cannot just drive no matter what. This is law, what kind of people have we elected that are trying o take away our American values and turn our Nation into to that of one in Europe? We have already gone through a war with England, I don't know about you but I don't want to go back to those principles! I am thankful that we are still a Christian Nation, but I am not sure how much longer I will be allowed to appreciate our religious principles. This Thanksgiving I pray that you will be encouraged to remember the morals and faith we were founded on and not to stray from it as you grow older. We *are* the next generation and have a chance to make it a better generation for Christ, but we will never reach that if we do not get the word out and speak up for our faith! Happy Thanksgiving!

fruits of knowledge

"....knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth"
~Prov. 14:6~

Knowledge is easy to him that understands? That is like a duh :P Why would God put something so obvious for us to learn from? All these questions ran through my head as I was *supposed to be * listening to my English lesson. Later; while reading through that passage in scripture more closely, I found that the whole purpose of this passage was to awaken the thirst for knowledge. I mean, what is the purpose of being able to attain knowledge if one does not understand what he( or she) is a) attaining and or b) does not try to attain it? When reading something like this, I discovered, God wants us to not just look at the obvious but dive deeper for the truth (or knowledge) if we do then we will surely understand what we are searching for because our eyes will be opened to it. "ye have not because ye ask not"  'How do we attain this knowledge?' is what we should be asking ourselves. The answer is simply to search for the truth God shows us in our everyday lives....
