What are the power of our words, that we might choose them wisely..

Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

Psalm 40:3
3And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

When I say something, I say it with the purest intent, but because I do not consider what words I use they will sometimes come across rudely. This has not led to positive things. What's more shocking is that until a dear friend pointed it out to me I had had no idea I was doing that! When God showed me I got the worst feeling in the pit of my stomach. You know, the kind that says: "Oh. my. goodness. I cannot believe that I did that! This is awful!" I learned a very important lesson that day that I will never forget: If you say something that could have another meaning it will more than likely be taken in the worst possible way. People don't necessarily give words the benefit of the doubt. If you say something; intending to tease, joke, compliment, or point something out, it will more than likely be taken to heart and offend that person. I don't know about you all, but that is he last thing I'd ever want to do and the furthest from my mind.  However, it is a good lesson: Choose your words wisely, for once said, they cannot be taken back, so think before you speak.
